About me
Originally from Georgia, with part of my childhood spent in New Jersey, I grew up surrounded by a large family and now have the joy of being an Auntie to five wonderful nieces and nephews! With degrees in Anthropology and Communication Studies from the University of Georgia, I have a strong academic foundation that includes childhood development courses, complementing my years of hands-on experience. My passion for holistic wellness and community service has led me to be part of a yoga-based service organization that focused on supporting homeless communities in Atlanta. I was a founding member of a mutual aid organization called Lemonaid. The purpose of the group is to provide direct support our underprivileged neighbors. We served people across all spectrums, including children and youths. This experience shaped my approach to caregiving, where I prioritize emotional well-being, empathy, and a balanced lifestyle. Outside of work, I am an explorer who finds joy in exploring the world around me. My love for travel, curiosity, and sense of wonder mirror the enthusiasm I see in the children I care for, and it’s that shared excitement for life that makes working with them so fulfilling.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
I have a jewelry business so I would really love to grow that. Currently, I’m working with non-precious metals and stones, but I am looking forward to graduating to precious metals and gems. I’d love to be a Mommy myself, so I see myself starting to focus on family in five or so years. I think I will still be doing childcare but in a different capacity. I am very community-oriented, and I want to instill that value in my own kids. I’d like to form a community of moms and families to help each other with our childcare and general needs. Because it does take a village! I am also interested in homeschooling in some capacity, so maybe I’ll be exploring that as well.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to teach kids about geography, history, culture, and societies. I think it’s very important for children to grow up knowing that the world is big, that there are a lot of different types of people around us, and about the past and how it relates to the present. This encompasses so many things, like fashion, technology, architecture, etc. My interests are very applicable to most things, so I like to bounce off kids' specific interests. Children have so much wonder in them, and it must be fostered! I encourage them to explore their own interests, and I explore it with them. I love to engage kids in thought. They're little but they damn sure smart!
