About me

Hello, I’m a nanny who grew up in the Midwest with one younger brother. As a kid, I was a soccer player and a saxophone player, and I was involved with the hiking club in high school. I served as a section leader for the tenor saxophone section for two years and was in the leadership committee for the environmental/ hiking club. I took Spanish as my language elective. I studied Creative Writing and minored in Women’s Studies at Webster University in Saint Louis. I began working with kids when I was in high school and my first job in college was an Assistant Preschool teacher. I tie my creative writing skills into my childcare when I read books and makeup stories to tell the children.

Over the time that I’ve worked with kids (14 years of paid experience), I have been employed as an Assistant Religious School Teacher, Summer Camp Counselor, Assistant Preschool Teacher, Nanny, Head Religious School Teacher, Nature School Teacher, Head Preschool Teacher, Outdoor learning skills Specialist, Date night babysitter, Trip Advisor for International Trip, and a Tutor. I have worked with infants as young as 3 weeks up to teenagers. I have experience working with kids who have special needs and have also worked with the LGBTQ community. At the summer camp, I worked with, I was in charge of a cabin with all gender identities and several campers with differing social and medical needs. Additionally, I’ve taught kids to read letters in Hebrew and I know basic Spanish.

I’ve worked long-term with 6-month- 1-year-old babies 1:1 in their home. I have experience with cooking solids for a gluten-free baby (due to his allergies) and also a vegetarian family as well. I have extensive knowledge about cooking due to the fact that my mom is a chef. I’m very familiar with Vegan, Vegetarian, and kosher foods.

I’ve taught music to preschool kids as well as private Saxophone lessons via Zoom during the pandemic. I am also experienced with hiking, camping, outdoor activities, and sports. I own a skateboard and a longboard and am an active person who likes going to the gym regularly.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Working with a family that I can grow with long term. I hope to publish a book of short stories as well. I also play the saxophone and have friends who are musicians that I would love to collaborate with on a song.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I can teach how to read music, how to read in general, how to play soccer, softball, or basketball. I can teach new songs as well. I’ve helped young infants learn to give a high five or play a xylophone for the first time.
