About me
I was born and raised in Los Angeles where I grew up playing tennis, classical piano, and going to the beach on the weekend with friends. In 2001 I graduated from Loyola Marymount University where I attained a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. My first nanny job was straight out of college and it was then that I knew I had found my calling. For the next 16 years, I worked as a nanny throughout Los Angeles and later returned to a grad program at Pepperdine, where I obtained my teaching credential and began my career as a preschool teacher.
My life as a nanny has included domestic travel, baby-led weaning, light housekeeping, and everything in between. Looking after a child before they enter preschool involves hands-on care so they can develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and mentally. I've found that learning a child's likes and dislikes is key to creating daily activities inside and outside the home that enrich their lives and provide a fun outlet. With my previous work children, I have organized their daily schedules and provided the best and safest care under my supervision. I took care of meal prep, lunchtime, and bedtime, and developed routines that fostered a healthy sense of self. Bedrooms and play areas were always tidy and clean and diaper bags were stocked and ready to go. We often read and engaged in play-based learning and when the weather allowed walked to our local park with a favorite stuffed animal in hand.
I have an incredibly devoted work ethic, strong communication skills and judgment, and the passion required to implement care that develops and nurtures a child's whole self. My nearly 20 years in childcare has provided me with a wealth of experience, from newborn all the way up to high school age and I'm thrilled at the idea of returning to my roots!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I'm an avid reader myself and enjoy reading with my work children introducing them to new books and revisiting the classics. I love being active outdoors and discovering all aspects of nature through exploring and as a former teacher, I often come up with activities, games, puzzles, and fun projects that are enriching and stimulating for a variety of ages.
