About me

Growing up on Long Island with two brothers, I developed a love for sports, travel, and family time, which fueled my passion for working with children. I earned a Bachelor’s in Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland and a Master’s from Hofstra University, with a Gifted and Talented extension from Molloy University. Teaching English in Costa Rica and studying abroad at the University of Ghana also shaped my approach to education. I’ve spent the last nine years teaching and currently work as a Gifted and Talented teacher for grades 4-6, bringing my dedication and creativity to childcare.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children from infants to preteens. I’ve held roles as a part-time babysitter, date-night sitter, teacher, tutor, nanny, and camp counselor. I’ve cared for infants as young as six months, where I’d change diapers, and warm bottles, prepare baby food, and take strolls to the park. I also nannied in the Hamptons, working with families after camp hours and babysitting for birthday parties. During summers, I traveled with preteens to Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica, and Hawaii, ensuring their safety and creating enriching experiences. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, have lifeguarded, and worked at Hampton Country Day Camp. My diverse background, including teaching gifted and special needs students, has made me a well-rounded caregiver who can provide children with a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.

I love staying active through family time, travel, exercise, cycling, running, and spending time at the beach. My 4-year-old niece plays a big role in this, as I often take her to the park, cook with her, and teach her how to swim. These moments bring me joy and remind me of the importance of engaging children in both active and creative activities. My philosophy is to offer a well-rounded environment where children can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally, while always feeling supported and encouraged.
