About me

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York has definitely shaped me to be a patient, cultured, and quick on my feet. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I’ve been working with children for over 10 years, originally as a camp counselor. I also had the opportunity to travel across South America teaching English to impoverished children. I currently have a Master’s Degree in Engineering and I always had a deep appreciation for stem as a young women of color this was a major academic goal of mine. That said, childcare has always been my passion.

The last several years I continued to pursue being a full-time nanny. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with such amazing families. This has enabled me to develop supportive and trusting relationships with children and their families. This also instilled the ability to work in a fast-paced setting where multitasking is essential. A lot of my experience and background has been in the infants- school age developmental stages. Recently I cared for twin infant girls, helping them in all their development milestones. Some of my duties in this role included : traveling, baby related laundry and tidying up, scheduling play dates, activities, setting up doctors appointments, photo shoots, organizing, making healthy organic meals for the children, helping with food shopping, clothes shopping, and anything else baby related. I’ve also worked with a team of nannies in the past caring for multiple children of various different ages new born to school age. With this family my duties included traveling often, dropping children off and picking up from school, after school activities, ballet, soccer, play dates, prepping meals, light amount of cooking and cleaning, working with the team of nannies as a unit to provide the best care possible for the children. I have worked as a house manager and personal assistant for families. Being on call and providing hard working families with the comfort of knowing I’m always one step ahead of their needs.

Professionalism and attention to detail is what I feel I provide to all the families for whom I’ve worked. I’m a firm believer in tailoring my skills as a nanny to best fit the child; getting on their level, understanding them, allowing them to express themselves and feel heard. I genuinely love what I do. Academically, I had goals that didn’t relate to child care, it’s because of my love of children that I decided to return to being a nanny. I enjoy the role I play in helping busy families and being a apart of shaping children to be well adjusted individuals.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I'd love to still be a nanny to a great family. Hopefully I'm someone they can count on and consider a part of the family in 5 years. I'd love to have completed my academic plans as well. I hope to be doing more for my community and helping others as much as possible.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I try to teach children to be independent, creative thoughtful people. Something that I consider really important is education. So I try to teach children how fun math and science can be. My favorite activity is making cool science projects with children! I also love arts and crafts, making up games, tea parties, playing dress up, volleyball, hockey, baking, exploring NYC, going to museums, etc.
