About me
For as long as I can remember I always wanted to work in childcare. I started babysitting at a young age in church. When parents wanted to listen to the service and had a small child or infants that constantly wanted/needed to move about, I was the person called on. I then went on to work in a daycare facility for the summer youth program at age 15. I have been working professionally in the childcare field for about 6 years, and babysitting for a few families that I still occasionally babysit for. I also have been working mainly as a teacher assistant and 1:1 para in special needs preschool settings. I love what I do and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Because I want to keep working with children, I applied and got nominated to work for the Department of Education as a sub-paraprofessional. I am the type of person that can not work just because it can make me money. Everything I do as work has to be something I love and enjoy. The joy to see the growth in a child is an awesome feeling. When they are aware that they just completed a goal or learned something new and you see it on their faces how you made an impact on their lives no matter how small is worth it.
