About me
Raised in the Philadelphia area with loving, supportive parents, I'm forever grateful for the time they dedicated to me and my sister. We’re best friends, and I wish everyone could experience a sibling bond like ours. The arts and Spanish were early passions of mine, as was writing–which later shaped my academic journey. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in Media and Cultural Studies, which combined journalism, film studies, and critical theory. In undergrad, I worked in podcast and indie film production, and print journalism. Since graduating, I’ve supported myself through food service, childcare, and film production. I also sing with a band and develop film projects.
Coming from a large family, I always had a cousin or neighbor to look after. In fifth grade, I was a designated peer mediator; I've always sought to advocate for the under-supported. I’ve worked with children of different ages and needs, and from January to July 2024, I babysat two girls (9 and 11), helping with homework, crafts, and voice lessons. We spent time outdoors, and cared for their pets, and I focused on empowering them to navigate life confidently.
In 2022, I provided after-school care for two siblings (11 and 13), providing academic support and household management. I supported one child’s transition to high school and their expression of nonbinary identity, fostering creativity through shared interests like Legos, photography, and fashion. In 2021 I provided after-school tutoring for children ages 4-14 in Minneapolis, managing up to 15 children while lesson planning and tutoring in ESL, math, and reading.
I’ve developed a wide skill set in nurturing children’s emotional, academic, and creative growth, and have realized how much childcare impacts my life–rekindling my creative passion for music and literature. It’s a joy helping children discover their passions and watching them embrace life’s everyday wonders.
"It takes a village to raise a child." I take that very seriously. I see childcare as a privileged opportunity to contribute to a more ideal model of care alongside dedicated parents and educators—one I hope all children may one day have access to.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
Singing and performance are core aspects of my life and it's often a moving experience for me to help children find their voice and presence. I am fluent in Spanish and owe it all to a veritable army of educators, the majority of whom were women and native speakers, I am honored to pass on their knowledge and continue a reverberation of their efforts. I also love curating small writing workshops for the kids I work with. It's great for allowing them to see writing as an expressive tool and an art form, rather than a scary requirement for school.
