About me

I grew up in the Inwood section of Manhattan. I am the oldest of three kids which made me responsible for my brother and sister. I believe that is where my love for kids came from watching them and their friends. During high school, I babysat kids from around the neighborhood when I wasn't working at the supermarket as a cashier. I graduated high school and got married. During that time I was blessed to have three beautiful kids. I wanted to stay at home and spend as much time with my little ones which I did until my youngest started pre-k. Once my little one was in school I attended Mercy College and at the same time worked at a daycare center as a teacher.

I worked at Carolyn‘s Playhouse taking care of little ones from 9 months old till 4 years old. It was a joy every day doing circle time, singing songs, hearing them laugh, and teaching them the alphabet. Storytime was always my fav because they loved to hear my amazing made-up stories about Pookie the Dog's many adventures. They also learned to clean up, how to use the potty, learn to share, and be kind to their friends.I unfortunately had to leave the job because of change of administration and my hours were less then originally. I worked at Carolyn’s playhouse for seven years. It sadden me to leave but I stayed in touch with many families and watch the kids grow through out the years.Afterwards because of my close network of families at Carolyn’s I was able to find my next Nanny job.
I worked for the Davidoff family which consisted of a 13-month-old boy and his sister who was 3 years old. My duties were meal prep and clean up, playtime, sleep training, potty training, singing songs and storytime, going to parks and activities, kids' laundry, school pickups, homework help, and arranging playdates and fun summer outings.I was with the Davidoff family for four and half years .Once the youngest started going to school my position was changed to part time . I stayed with them a little while longer but it was to much of a pay cut and unfortunately I had to leave I stay in touch with the family and visit them through out the years.
The next family I had the pleasure to work for was Cudahy family and the Budner family. I did a nanny share which consist of a 14 months old girl and 14 months old boy. The Budner family moved away two years later and I stayed with the Cudahy family. A baby girl was the new addition to the family and I started watching her at 4 months old. I was in charge of meal prep and clean up, sanitizing bottles, tummy time, playtime and storytime, sleep training, potty training, arts and crafts, taking to parks and activities, school pick-ups, and homework help. I stayed with the family for five years . As with all kids the youngest started school full time September and I was not needed anymore . All these families Ive work for I have a great relationship with and I stay in touch with them through out the years.

I believe that all kids learn through play and since I love to sing I always incorporate that in their learning may it be them learning how to talk or just learning the alphabet. If it's fun it makes learning easier and that's where singing comes into play.
