About me

I was raised by my mom and grandmother in Brooklyn. They were both educators and hugely highlighted the importance of being properly taught. Their love of young children was something I carried throughout my life and was the reason I went to college for Early Childhood Education.

My family was very passionate about cultivating a community so although I was an only child there were always groups of us kids swimming, biking, and playing. As I got older I found myself still able to connect and engage with younger children, and into my teenage years I consistently grew my babysitting and tutoring roster. I landed my first part-time nannying job after high school and I kept at it until college when I joined a daycare as an infant support teacher. Then for 6 years, I taught in multiple classrooms (first the infants, then 2s, and finally the 3s.) By the end of my time at the daycare, I was the lead teacher and had a 3s program of 12 children, for which I composed the curriculum for. At the daycares I cooked breakfast, lunch and provided a snack for the children helped get them down for naps, had playtimes and facilitated outdoor trips, and created a learning curriculum that taught the children shapes, colors, numbers, letters, patterns, sequences, and so much more! I also completed many mandated training classes and regularly renewed my CPR and First Aid certifications. I loved those children and wished I could connect more deeply with them, which Is the reason I moved back into nannying after college. At my most recent position, I started with one boy who was 15 months old. I was with the family for the last two years and now they have a wonderful four-month-old baby and that boy is three and starting a school program himself!

I think especially in early life children need patience and communication in order to be able to thrive. That’s my goal! I aim to be an educator for children who can tend to their needs for proper development in order to help raise an amazing next generation. Most importantly I’m looking to be a source of help, knowledge, and safety not only to children; but to their parents as well!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children how to blow bubbles, how to safely explore outdoors, how to draw/paint/craft, all the things we can make with our hands! I love teaching children how to communicate their needs, how to foster their imagination, how to gain independence through dressing themselves, potty-ing, etc!
