About me

I grew up in South Carolina with two sisters and spent my childhood outdoors, climbing trees, building forts, and pursuing my passion for writing songs, poems, and stories, as well as making short films. I attended Columbia International University, where I studied Education and worked as a French tutor and gymnastics coach. I then interned at a non-profit in Oahu, Hawaii, where I stayed for five years directing an after-school enrichment program for disadvantaged youth. During that time, I also coordinated surf volunteer trips to places like Indonesia.

Following my time in Hawaii, I moved to LA to work with a non-profit that builds schools in war zones, where I developed a summer curriculum and taught 80 youth in the Democratic Republic of Congo for two months. Afterward, I transitioned into the entertainment industry, managing content for a global production company for a few years before deciding to return to childcare.

I have 17 years of childcare experience and my career began with babysitting and camp counseling. My first full-time nanny position involved caring for three children: a 10-year-old adopted twin girls and their 8-year-old brother, in Hilton Head Island, where I gained extensive experience in caring for children in and around water. I supported one of the twins with ADHD and later worked with three other families in roles such as nanny, family assistant, and house manager, caring for children between 18 months and 7 years old. My responsibilities included full-time childcare, overnight care, travel, pet care, errand running, scheduling, light cleaning, and managing household tasks.

My approach to childcare focuses on helping children feel understood, valued, and encouraged in their individuality. I strive to give children the respect they deserve, teaching them to navigate life with confidence and emotional intelligence. I value imaginative play, creative expression, compassion for others, and infusing humor into everyday life.
