About me
I was born in Bauru, a city four hours from São Paulo, and grew up with my two siblings. Our relationship was typical of siblings, with fights and affection, but our childhood had its challenges. My mother became a widow when I was 7 years old, and she had to leave us alone at home because she couldn’t afford childcare. However, we lived in a neighborhood where everyone took care of each other, and I spent a lot of time playing outside with my neighbors. Despite the difficulties, I was always a happy and playful child, enjoying my time outdoors, away from computers and cell phones. This taught me the importance of community and caring for children.
I finished school in 2015 and took college prep courses, but I decided to become an au pair to fulfill my dream of traveling and learning about other cultures and languages.
I came to the United States as an au pair and have gained over three and a half years of experience caring for children aged 5 months to 10 years. During my first year as an au pair, I faced many challenges with childcare. I realized I needed to find better ways to connect with the kids. This led me to learn about Positive Parenting and child development to improve my work and provide better care. I believe these techniques are important for helping children grow up healthy and happy. My responsibilities with babies included bottle feeding, diaper changing, and doing activities like tummy time. With toddlers, I helped with motor and social development, and with older children, I organized creative and educational activities. I always follow the parents’ guidelines, try to balance discipline, and love to support the children’s growth.
What motivates me most is being part of the children’s development. I love seeing how they learn and discover the world, and I always try to encourage their curiosity in a fun and light way. I believe that how we care for children today will reflect in who they become in the future.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
In five years, I hope to be growing in a new career. I want to keep learning and taking on new challenges. Personally, I hope to still be working closely with families and making a positive difference in children’s lives. Since I plan to work with a family for the next few years and truly dedicate myself to them, I’d love to stay connected with them, even if I'm no longer working as their nanny. I also hope to have traveled more, explored different cultures, and maintained strong connections with my work family/kids, my real family, and friends.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I like to draw and create abstract art—abstract because I'm not very artistic, but I try hard. I also enjoy playing. When I'm out of ideas, I use an app that helps me come up with different games and activities for children, based on their age.
