About me

Up until I was 10 years old, I lived in California and later moved to Scranton, PA with my 2 sisters and 1 brother; I grew up as the youngest but was blessed to become a middle child when I was 11 years old! Once I graduated high school, I went to Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's in Political Science. Although I was passionate about social justice, I'm looking forward to finding my next great nanny family at this time!

Since graduating, I have had the joy of working with children with several families. I really enjoy building great relationships with the children in my care! From babysitting in high school to nannying in college and beyond, I have worked with several families but want to highlight the two roles in which I learned the most.

The Morris Family has three girls, 4 months, 4 years, and 5 years old when I started in January 2021. My responsibilities included changing diapers, feeding, tidying up, playing, and reading with the baby. In regards to my duty in caring for the older girls, I helped with homework, making after-school snacks, playing, and overall juggling all three girls' needs in a part-time capacity.

In my most recent full-time role, I cared for a baby boy who was hard of hearing and 3 months old when I began in October 2023. Since the child is hard of hearing, the family has received early intervention services and has a physical therapist, speech therapist, and ASL teacher come to the house weekly or bi-weekly to ensure the natural progression of development. The parents and I receive excellent instruction on how to provide the child with accessible language. Therefore, my role does not only include the typical duties such as feeding, changing diapers, playing, reading, and tidying up but also includes practicing ASL just as much as spoken English.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I recently started learning ASL and love seeing all the work of teaching and seeing results! In the vein of teaching language, I loved utilizing flashcards to teach toddlers color, shapes, animal names, etc. In terms of school-aged children, one of the favorite games nanny kids and I love to play is karaoke, tag, building forts, and board games!
