About me

I was born and raised in California. I survived wonderfully under the care of my beautiful parents, as well as, a loving family that consisted of an older sister and older brother. During that time I then inherited a stepfather and 2 additional older brothers, yet still making me the youngest, which I enjoyed the most. I began working in childcare right after I graduated high school in 2016. I obtained experience within an in-home-based care facility where my passion for child care began. I then went to college in Sonora, California where I obtained my AS degree in ECE as well as an infant/toddler teaching certificate. After being a COVID-19 graduate, I returned back to Bakersfield, CA where I began my teaching career.
My first teaching experience began at a small community-based preschool where I was a “floating” teacher who engaged in various classrooms with ages ranging from newborns to after-schoolers aging out at 13 years old. My duties would include but are not limited to diaper changes, milestone developments, classroom sanitation, curriculum planning, meal preparation and planning, nap time supervision, potty training, parent and teacher meetings, as well as classroom guidance under the supervisors and leads at the time. All of whom have helped shape my teaching experience. I’ve held multiple childcare titles in multiple different childcare environments; ranging from a teaching assistant, floater teacher, teacher’s aid, infant lead, toddler assistant, preschool lead, and after school lead teacher. I’ve taught and worked within home-based facilities, community preschools, and private preschools, and have started nannying shortly after babysitting for families within my community in California. These positions have equipped me with various skill sets that best support each age range, all of which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. One of my personal goals as an educator and child care advocate would be to have numerous experiences within numerous communities.
Childcare is a passion of mine but outside of the classroom, I practice self-care religiously. Social, emotional, and mental health are key factors in childcare and life. This helps support myself and others

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Instilling health and wellness care and establishing a social/emotional development learning environment for children and their families. I love the psychology aspect of childcare as well and would love to further expand my knowledge in this field to further complement my child development background.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to be immersive within play! I most enjoy the Montessori-based curriculum as well as music theory, STEM-based play, and social/emotional adaption activities to enrich a child’s imagination, creativity, and inner strengths. I love creating milestones with children and seeing them through their growth!
