About me

My name is Amanda, I am a mother to a 7 year old boy born in July and we currently live in Brooklyn.
At age 15 I officially started my sitting career a new neighbor Elizabeth who had a daughter, I would watch Catherine for their date nights, weddings, errands, and vacations. I would be responsible for her diapering, feeding clothing, bathing, implementing her nightly routine, and entertainment.
I worked with the family until Catherine was 3 years old and her sister Julia was 2. They had moved to Texas but remain in contact whenever they’re in NY.

Since then over the years I’ve worked with 6 long term families helped raise 3 from their infant years(as early as one day old), 4 short term and I’ve been a Paraprofessional, and Teachers Aide in a daycare for the past 5 years with that being said I am very comfortable with one and one care or multiples.

I love all the kiddos as my own I cherish being able to see them grow and develop into their own person. I’m able to be a listening ear, personal escort to their activities, or just being a playmate but my personal policy is that the parent’s wishes are my main priority.

I have multiple certifications including: Nutrition and Health Needs of Infants and Children, Safety and Security Procedures, Child Abuse and Maltreatment Identification and Prevention, Education and Information on the Identification, Diagnosis, and Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome, CPR & first aid, Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns Early Care and Education.
