About me

I grew up in San Diego, California as the middle child of three kids, with a great love for the outdoors and the sun! I also had a love for learning, which took me to the University of Michigan for my Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. I want to share these important passions with children while helping them find their own.

I had consistent babysitting jobs in high school with infants and toddlers. My duties included dinners, participating in lots of playtime, and putting the kids down for bed. Outside of this, I was a counselor for a robotics camp for elementary-aged children, and I taught English in Cambodia to Kindergarten through High School kids. I also ran my high school's Girls Who Code program for middle-school-aged girls, helping nurture their passion for STEM. In college, I worked closely with a family that gave me more extensive experience with infants and toddlers. My infant-care duties included bottle feeding, diaper changes, and even overnight care for their 3-month-old. My primary care was of a 4-year-old boy, who I woke up, fed, and drove to preschool, as well as took care of on days off of school, weekends, and whenever his mom needed help! Through the trust I built with these children, I learned to navigate tough conversations about unconventional family dynamics, friendships, and even socioeconomic differences. Further, I learned how to cater each activity to the children's needs, wants, and differing abilities. My CPR and First Aid certification allows me to do so safely and reliably.

I believe strongly in leading every moment of every day with kindness. I am passionate about living a healthy, full, and balanced life, and I am excited about the potential to help children achieve theirs! I believe a love for education and fun is contagious, and I strive every day to lead children by my own example. My fulfillment comes from seeing the children I care for grow into full-hearted, happy people, and I truly believe that an enriching childhood filled with kindness and attention is the key to this. I am honored to have touched so many children's lives, and I am excited to continue this work!
