About me

I grew up in Jersey City, NJ as an only child. I fell in love with theatre, watching movies, and being moved/inspired by all kinds of art. I went on to study Theater and Acting in Tampa, FL, and later at the University of South Florida, where I received my BA. Since graduating college, I went on to work professionally in TV/Film as an actor in Los Angeles. While pursuing my degree in Tampa, and my 2 years living in LA, I've worked with children. It has been the part-time job I've enjoyed doing while pursuing other interests and passions in my life.

My professional childcare experience consists mainly of working with private families and working for nanny agencies. I also worked as a substitute teacher for private and charter schools in LA (k-8). For the agencies, I mostly did backup care and part-time jobs. Periodically I worked with one to two families consistently. When I worked for families privately I would also work with them regularly and consistently. For example, my first part-time/ short term (6-8 months) nanny job was with a 7-year-old & toddler twins, where my duties included meal preps, providing snacks, baths diaper changes, homework help, playing indoors & outdoors, putting down for bed. My experience at the agency on the other hand was much more diverse as a temp & backup care provider. Every week I was with a new family, some examples include, babysitting date nights, morning care, after-school care, Monday-friday care while parents work, always adapting to new families, kids, and situations. Overall, all of this professional experience the last 8 years began with my little sister when I was 16 who is now 11. I spent my high school years babysitting her and lifeguarding in the summers. During college, I transitioned to childcare work. Working with kids has been a joy in my journey and I'm grateful to always work a job I love.

My special skills are lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and experience with special needs & disability, I know Spanish at an intermediate level, am familiar with baby sign language and I have experience in the classroom. My goal is to assure families their kids are in the hands of someone who cares deeply about nurturing children, helping them grow and someone who has fun with them.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love doing creative activities like painting, playing board games that challenge them to think, being active and playing outside. I also enjoy helping them achieve milestones developmentally, such as walking or learning new skills.
