About me

My name is Pamella, I reside in Brooklyn New York, and have been living in that same location for the past 21 years. I have 6 brothers and no sisters. I also have 3 adult children and two very beautiful granddaughters. I am from the most beautiful island of St. Lucia. Being the only girl in the family was the foundation for my love of caring for others especially younger ones till now.

I am great with kids and love caring for them. I ensure that they are well taken care of and happy. I am very energetic and enjoy taking kids out for fresh air and meeting and playing with their friends as often as possible. I strongly encourage the kids in my care to draw and do puzzles which helps with their attention span to be very active, especially in the playgrounds where we will make use of everything available there for the kids' growth and building of their little muscles in order to be both strong and healthy. I have worked with children from newborns to early teens. However, my first job was with a baby boy, he was 5 months old when I started with him in February of 2006, and his little sister came 2 years later. I stayed with that family up until COVID of 2020. The family that I was working with before that was 3 girls, and I started working with them when the firstborn was 2 years old in 1991 and stayed with that family up until 2002.

I am flexible when necessary and I am never late for work, I am always at least half an hour early but will wait nearby just so I can start on time. Hence, I would appreciate leaving on time as well. Of course, there will be occasions when it might not be possible - which is understandable.

While the kids are under my supervision no other parent or babysitter is permitted/allowed to approach the child for any matter that is not discussed with me first. Their well-being is of utmost importance to me and I need them to always feel safe no matter where we are and who we are with.

I am an avid runner. I have run several marathons and a huge number of races, and aspire to run many more. Hence, there will always be a ball in the stroller for running around in the park, etc kicking and catching balls.
