About me

My name is Gabriella; I would love the opportunity to care for your children. I grew up on Long Island and just moved to the city to start Grad school at Hunter College. I also just graduated with my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in mindfulness at St.Jospeh's Univerity on Long Island. I am completing my master's in Mental Health Counseling and pursuing my PhD. I have one sister who is a teacher, and we both grew up taking care of kids, either family members kids or other families on Long Island looking for childcare. Growing up, I enjoyed being involved in many sports, mainly soccer. I also traveled a lot due to my parents being European; we were mostly in new countries or exploring new cultures. I also enjoyed going to the library, making crafts, ice skating, and museums. Being that I lived on Long Island, I was constantly at the beach, camping in Montauk, or fishing on the beach. Since graduating, I have been babysitting and exploring New York City more. Overall, this academic background has provided valuable insights into child development, enhancing my ability to care for and support children effectively. Throughout my experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the unique needs and developmental stages of children of all ages. Being very active, I strive to get the kids out and going. I also like to bring in the mindfulness aspect as throughout my experience, I have noticed how well it benefits the child as I can teach both physical and mental health to children, which are vital for development.
