About me

My experience in the educational, childcare and social service field has prepared me well to seek a position at SmartSitting. Since January 2007, I have had the opportunity to teach in various New York City public and charter schools. I have experience working in private and urban schools as well. During this time, I have worked with a diverse group of students, including those challenged by autism, learning disabilities, noncompliant behavior, and speech impairments, as well as children who functioned on and above grade level. Consequently, I have gained in-depth knowledge of accommodating different styles of learners and incorporating effective methods to meet children's unique needs.

I babysat for several families throughout college with children aged 1 year - 4 years old. I have also served as a tutor in addition to childcare provider for a few families. I am comfortable with groups of children. I am skillful at preparing meals and snacks, cleaning, changing diapers, bathing, putting children down for a nap, or bedtime.

I am patient, creative and nurturing. I also possess strong communication skills and can work well with both children, youths and adults. My experiences has taught me how to build strong relationships with individuals from all walks of life.
