About me

I am Sandy, I am originally from Colombia, I was born and raised in that beautiful country, I grew up in a small town where we knew everyone. I had a fantastic childhood, full of love, friends, and activities. I learned to play basketball when I was a kid and went to competitions playing basketball and chess.
I developed skills with kids when I was in high school, I have always liked to get around children, but they really loved me, and I have always said "I am sweet for them". Then for my high school graduation, I volunteered in the kindergarten of my home town. Later on, I moved to the capital of the country, and when I finished college I found an international exchange program in the USA; then I came to live with an American family for a year. I took care of 3 little girls, aged 2, 4 and 5.
Then in the midst of my professional life and the desire to keep learning, I researched China and I went to another international exchange program, I worked with kids, teaching them Spanish and English. Back in 2018, I moved back to live in the USA, I started working as a nanny and babysitter for multiple families, including the Monness family whose mom is Jennie Monness a cofounder of Union Square Play in New York City.
I am a very persistent, disciplined, responsible, organized, and resilient person. I like to wake up early and do my workouts, read books, and listen to podcasts. I believe my purpose in life is to help others because that is something that really makes me happy, therefore I find this job a good place to help parents, and families especially kids, I enjoy helping and loving them. I would like to commit to a family for at least 3 years, when we both can grow and support each other.
