About me
I grew up in Southern California as the youngest of four siblings, always surrounded by the warmth and support of a large family. My early years were filled with a love for learning and helping others, which naturally guided me towards a career in childcare and education. I pursued my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Riverside, where I earned a degree in Anthropology and Public Policy. Driven by my passion for counseling and guidance, I continued my education in Los Angeles, earning a graduate degree in Guidance and Counseling. Since graduating, I have dedicated my career to nurturing and educating children, combining my academic background with hands-on experience as a babysitter, nanny, and child-related professional.
My journey in childcare began during graduate school in 2016 when I had the rewarding experience of caring for a young boy from age 6 to 8. This initial role taught me the importance of building strong, supportive relationships with both children and their families. In 2020, I expanded my experience by caring for a 9-month-old and his 4-year-old sister in Los Angeles, where I honed my skills in infant care and early childhood education. Over the last eight months, I have provided care for several families in Brooklyn, NYC. My responsibilities have ranged from after-school care for a 4-year-old girl to creating a learning environment for a 3-year-old boy and providing consistent weekly care for a family with a 4-year-old son with autism and his 2-year-old brother. My diverse roles have included part-time babysitter, date night sitter, teacher, tutor, camp counselor, and social worker. I am also experienced in working with special needs children, speaking another language, and holding certifications in child safety and early childhood development.
Beyond my professional experience, I am deeply passionate about empowering children through education and nurturing their socio-emotional development. I love engaging children in creative activities such as art, music, and storytelling, which not only fosters their creativity but also builds their confidence and communication skills. My approach to childcare is centered on creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. I believe in the importance of patience, compassion, and consistency in guiding children through their developmental stages. Working with children allows me to combine my love for teaching with my dedication to making a positive impact on their lives. As a nanny, I am committed to providing holistic support to each child, ensuring they feel valued, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential.
