About me

I am a New York native and grew up in Westchester. I have two great brothers and am the middle child. As a kid (and still to this day), my favorite things to do were to read, dig around in the dirt looking for cool bugs and rocks, go swimming at the pool and the beach, learn new crafts, and make all kinds of art. For college, I went to SUNY New Paltz and got a BFA in ceramics. I also did a semester abroad in London which was a great experience. Since graduating, I have done a ton of traveling and have lived in a few different states. I continue to make art and have been running my own ceramics business as of 2020. I started teaching ceramics classes in 2021 which has been very rewarding. I have always loved a lot of variety in my work life. I am happy that working as a nanny has allowed me the flexibility to pursue my many passions while also doing the rewarding work of helping to raise the next generation of children.
In high school, I started babysitting for neighborhood kids and worked at a few different camps. In college, I joined a babysitting agency and got a ton of experience working with all kinds of families and children of varying ages. It was through this agency that I met my first long-term family. When I started with them, they had 3 daughters, a 4-year-old and 4-month-old twins. I helped their mother with managing all aspects of childcare for the three children both in tandem and independently. I engaged the children in creative and artistic projects and activities. I helped with running errands and transportation to and from school, playdates, and activities. I helped with meal prep and planning. I also assisted with car and plane travel and provided childcare on vacations. This was a great experience and led me to continue to pursue childcare positions after I graduated. I have since worked for 3 other families on a long-term basis and have done a lot of short-term and temporary childcare as well. I have worked with all age groups from infants to teens. I am familiar with the Montessori method and am also CPR certified!
