About me

I grew up in Portland, Oregon with four siblings and tons of close family. As a child, I attended a Montessori school and since working in a Montessori center I have become very passionate about approaching childcare in a Montessori fashion. I attended Clackamas Community College and received an associate in general studies. Since graduating I have been working with children as a nanny/babysitter. I additionally worked as a teacher's assistant at a Montessori school. During my time as a teacher's assistant, I also received various training hours through Pro Solutions Training as well as CCPT on things such as SIDS and being an educator.

I have been babysitting children ages 5 months to 13 years since I started high school. While I was still in college finishing my degree I started working as a teachers assistant at a Montessori school primarily with children aged 2-3 years. In this position, I helped write and implement lesson plans and oversaw children in their daily routines. Following this position I worked as a nanny for one child from age 3 up until age 5 where I engaged in play, prepared meals, oversaw sleep time, bathed and clothed the child, maintained a tidy house, cared for the child overnight, accompanied the family on a trip, and drove the child to activities. I then started working as a family assistant for a family of five with two children aged 3 and 10 years. In this position, I aided the mother with her social media platforms and ran a myriad of errands for the family. While caring for the children I engaged in play, prepared meals, oversaw nap and sleep time, bathed and clothed children, cared for children overnight, and drove the children to activities. Lastly, I began working as a nanny for one child from age 8 months to 2 years. While in this position I engaged in play, prepared meals, oversaw nap time, maintained a tidy house, and drove the child to activities.

I believe that working with children is a huge gift and being a part of their formative years is super special to me. I love that I can learn new things from the children that I work with while also being able to teach them about the world and things that I love.
