About me

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. I have a twin sister who I love very much. We do everything together. I spent my childhood traveling with my parents, attending summer camps, visiting museums, libraries, playing sports, taking swim lessons and attending playgroups. I was a very active and engaged child.

My later years were spent completing my high school courses, babysitting children in the neighborhood, doing volunteer work and working in the hospitality business.

Upon high School Graduation I moved to California to attend Santa Monica College. During the summers in Santa Monica, I ran a mini summer camp called "Fun in the Sun" engaging children in art activities and sports.

Since college graduation I have spent my time with children of all ages nannying and babysitting. After these various jobs and running my own summer camp this turned into full time nanny positions in California, Hong Kong and New York.

I have been a nanny/personal assistant/house manager. I have worked with multiple families over the years. I have experience with ages newborn until 11 years old. I have been a full charge nanny as well as a mother's helper. I am always up to pitch in when needed. I feel it is very important as a nanny to be flexible. I have worked many different schedules including 24 hour shifts and traveling for months on end.

I enjoy doing many activities with the children (age appropriate of course) such as outings around the city, parks, the beach, music classes, Arts and crafts, swimming, and playdates.

I consider myself to be a reliable, loving, calm, creative, patient, tolerant, fair and a very organized person with flexibility. These strengths have allowed me to stay calm under pressure when dealing with children of all ages and their parents. I am also a free spirit who has stamina and a lot of energy which allows me to travel, explore, and discover new things. I enjoy being on "the move". I am known to many as the girl with common sense and fun loving. I enjoy passing on my excitement to others, mainly children.

My former employers referred to me as a compassionate and understanding person with a nurturing spirit who is enthusiastic and trustworthy. I helped to raise their children in responsible, encouraging, steady and consistent ways to foster development.

Many of the outings in my personal life are transferred to my nanny life. I enjoy trips to the farmers market, discovering neighborhoods and local businesses. Many of these outings turn into teachable moments for children. These outings help to develop language, socialization and independence in children.

My mother, a former teacher, always spoke of her love for her students (she referred to them as her kids). I believe this passion and love for kids was transferred to me.

I am looking forward to working and becoming a part of a new family.
