About me

I grew up in a large family in the heart of NYC. My favorite game as a child was teacher and house. I’ve always wanted to care for others. I studied Early Childhood Education and Psychology at Adelphi University. As a kid of the 90s, I grew up on Disney and I still maintain that love of Disney movies and music to this day. I also love cooking, music, and photography and consider myself to be pretty crafty.

I learned early on childcare was my calling. My family nicknamed me the baby whisper. Even as a young child, I could calm my smaller cousins, nieces, and nephews. I have always worked in childcare. Starting off babysitting for neighbors when I was a preteen. Then after-school programs and summer camps at the children’s Aide Society in NYC. I baby sat an 8 year old boy. Then, on to be an assistant teacher in daycare after college. I got my first Nanny job through the daycare I worked with and have been nannying ever since. I have experience with multiple and sibling groups. In my most recent nanny family, I was full time 8 am-5:30 pm and started when their daughter was 6 months old I have been with them for 3.5 years and now they also have a 1.5-year-old son. My duties include meal prep & light housekeeping related to the children, and children’s laundry. School pick up and drop off. Managing tutors (French and swim) occasional errands (groceries, shopping for the children new clothes shoes, etc.) Planning and taking to activities, classes, and play dates. I moved with this family from New York to Chicago and my contract is ending in June when I will be relocating back to NYC. With the family before them, I was working full time 8 am-6 pm and started when their daughter was 4 months old. I was with them for 4 years unfortunately the position ended because of Covid. At the time of my leaving, they also had a 1-year-old son. And my duties were similar to those above. Child-related cooking and cleaning, laundry, planning and taking to activities and playdates, etc.

I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child. I love being a part of a family village. My passion is not only for caring for the children but also for providing parents with quality care.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Nannying still along side starting my own daycare or agency.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I take a play-based learning & emotionally intelligent approach to childcare. Teaching them life skills through play. Cooking, cleaning, self-care. I love exposing the kids I work with to music, art, and nature.
