About me

I grew up right outside of Madison, Wisconsin as an older sister to one brother a year and a half younger than me. As a child, I always loved singing, dancing, and coloring, and competed in gymnastics for over 6 years. I ended up pursuing my love of singing and dancing with a bachelor's degree in Theatre and a Minor in Dance from Millikin University. Because I graduated in the spring of 2020 and we were in the thick of quarantine, I focused on working and saving money to eventually move to the big city when the world finally started to settle.

As soon as I turned 11 years old, I couldn't wait to take the Red Cross Babysitting Course to get certified. I started babysitting as soon as I could, from watching my brother when my parents went on date nights to watching kids of family friends to anyone else I could find. Throughout the last 15 years, I have held many different positions since that initial Babysitting Class. I have been a date night babysitter, a part-time babysitter, a summer nanny, assisted in an at-home daycare, and am currently working as an after-school nanny as well! I have worked with all ages of kids, from infants needing naps and diaper changes to preteenagers who already think they're too cool for school. Some responsibilities have included making bottles, handling strollers, putting kids down to bed, reading to and with them, playing games, making snacks or meals, taking to appointments/activities or the park, homework help, and lighthouse cleanup. I am also CPR certified and know and understand baby sign language. I have primarily worked with at least 2 kids at a time and have figured out how to handle multiple needs all at once.

Since I can remember, I have always been a caretaker. I love watching the wonder kids have in the world around them as they discover and imagine, and I love being a guiding and nurturing hand in helping raise them. I believe love and respect are the two most important factors in taking care of kids, understanding their big feelings, being there for them, and showing that taking care of each other is what's most important. I always have my arms open and do my best to make sure kids know they are safe with me.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

on Broadway! I'm an actor, and musical theatre is my passion. Spreading love and fun on stage is something I want to do for the rest of my life.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I used to love creating friendship bracelets with different colored embroidery floss when I was a kid, and I actually taught my little one I'm currently with how to make them! I also love coloring, reading, and having spontaneous dance parties! I also love board games and card games and learning new things. Occasionally on rainy days, I love making blanket forts and having a comfy movie day, and I love playing dress up too.
