About me

I was born in Chicago, IL as the oldest of four children. I have always embraced my big sister role by helping my parents with caring for my siblings and helping around the house. Family is very important to me. Growing up I loved setting up elaborate productions of us singing, dancing, or doing anything silly that I could come up with for our family and friends. I was and still am the type of person who loves making friends, meeting new people, and showing kindness and empathy to everyone around me. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in International Business and Marketing while finding a great balance as a nanny/ babysitter.

Over the past five years, I have worked with over eight different families, and my role constantly changed according to what the family asked of me. I have been a nanny with a part-time to full-time schedule, an occasional date night babysitter, and even an overnight sitter. I have built many wonderful memories and relationships with the families I provide care for. I have worked with children ranging from 4 months old to pre-teens. The family that I consistently worked the longest time with, their children’s current ages are 3 and 5 years. My role in this family has been changing diapers and helping with potty training. Facilitating quiet time and naps. Preparing light meals & healthy snacks. Helping with household chores like doing laundry, cleaning up toys and messes, and doing dishes. Indoor and outdoor activities like arts and crafts, board games, and playing games in their backyard or park.

A personal philosophy that I live by is “The only way to do great work is to love what you do”. I truly love and enjoy working with children. I believe it is one of the most important and humble jobs a person can have. I love seeing how much children learn every day and seeing their little personalities growing and forming. In their early stages of life, children are beginning to discover who they are and who they want to be. During this time, they go through so many changes, physically and emotionally. And I appreciate being blessed with the opportunity to see and help them grow and define themselves as individuals.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be happy and content with what I am doing. Whether that is being a nanny for a family that I can grow with long term or pursuing my professional career in business.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I believe it is important to teach kindness, patience, personal boundaries, and respect. And even teaching them some Spanish! I love being creative by doing arts and crafts and creating things together. Some of my favorite things to do with the children are going swimming, and teaching them how to play board games.
