About me
I grew up in southeastern Connecticut with one older sister. My love for dance started at a very young age and I continued to dance throughout high school and college, and I have even started attending a regular dance class here in Brooklyn. I graduated from Salve Regina University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Special Education, and I achieved a master's degree just a year later in Applied Behavior Analysis. Since graduating I have been providing special services to kids with varying special needs in and out of school. Since moving to Brooklyn, I began pursuing a career caring for children and families.
I have worked in the field of childcare for the past 8 years, with kids ages 2-18. When providing services in schools, I worked as a consulting behavior technician. My role was to provide 1:1 support to a child, or to a small group of children, supporting them in academic work, social/emotional support, and behavioral needs. My job also required a lot of collaboration with teachers, parents, and administration. As a nanny, I have had the pleasure of caring for a child (6 months- 2 years old). My job included preparing bottles, feeding, transitioning the child to solids, maintaining a strict nap schedule, helping her develop her milestones, encouraging language development, taking the baby on outings to the park or library, cleaning up after the baby, and playing with the baby using her favorite toys.
I love to provide an enriching environment for the kids I care for to thrive, grow, and be their happiest selves. I love to incorporate dance, singing, self-expression, and imaginative play into my daily care. I strongly believe in raising a confident child, and making sure they have the skills they need to be brave and reach their fullest potential. It makes me so happy when a child can communicate their wants and needs appropriately so that they can access all the things the world has to offer!

A thriving plant and cat parent, traveling to places I've never been to, and hiking mountains with my sister.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to get creative and make something from scratch! I love to make Play-Doh, and other squishy creations and create an environment for kids to get messy and have fun! I also think it's very important for a child to learn how to use their words to express their needs and words, so working through those tough moments and teaching a child how to regulate their emotions are my skills.
