About me

I was an army brat, so I traveled a ton as a child due to my father serving in the military. But I grew up mainly in Hudson County, NJ! I am 1 of 5, I’m the middle child which I can’t really complain about. As a child, I enjoyed music, the arts, video games, and writing! Now, you can catch me going to so many concerts, and museums, writing stand-up comedy, and playing video games on my PS5 (when I have the time). I graduated from William Paterson University for Theatre/Comedy & Film, then later on continuing my education in Film & TV at NYU for their 1 year certification program. What I’ve been doing since college graduation in 2019 is freelancing in film production, performing stand-up comedy all over NYC, and babysitting in between gigs. This all ties into my work as a babysitter by me still involving myself when it comes to childcare in between my dreams. I’ve been babysitting/nannying for the past 10+ years from 6 months infants to 12 years olds! Working in film/TV teaches me about time management, and social skills, which I can then use when it comes to watching kids, especially when it comes to their extracurriculars. Stand-up comedy…well, it really helps when a problem occurs, and for me, it's sometimes best to shed light on darkness and make light on the situation, but that is definitely a case by case.

I have been caring for children for over 10+ years. I have had valuable experience caring for children through my involvement in a child development course during school where I observed and planned activities for 3 to 4-year-olds. Additionally, I worked as a part-time nanny for a family of 6, which provided me with both enjoyable and challenging moments. These roles have prepared me with a solid foundation in understanding and meeting the needs of children while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive. I've done after-school care for children ranging from 6 months old to 12 years old. I've also been a part-time nanny, living from time to time in the past, especially when they had more than 2 kids. With infants I would take them to the park, to classes when the family would want their child in music classes to have the babies socialize with other babies, I’d change diapers as well as bottle feed them, and as they got older would help with the transition from pure food to solids. For older children, I would help with homework, drop them off at play dates, take them to their extracurriculars, as well as take them outside when they’ve finished with any chores or homework. My experience with special needs children includes caring for my 6-year-old cousin who is autistic. I have gained valuable insights on how to effectively communicate and connect with him, as well as the importance of patience and understanding in providing the necessary support and care for children with special needs. This experience has deepened my empathy and compassion towards individuals facing different challenges and has reinforced my commitment to helping them thrive in their unique ways. I believe that every child, regardless of their abilities, deserves love, respect, and equal opportunities to reach their full potential.

As a stand-up comedian and film producer, I have a deep passion for creativity, storytelling, and connecting with people through humor and visuals. These skills allow me to engage with children in a fun and imaginative way, making every moment with them an opportunity for play and learning. My motivation to pursue child-related work stems from a genuine desire to make a positive impact in their lives, guiding them to explore their own creativity and unique personalities. My philosophy on childcare revolves around fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves freely. By incorporating my comedic and filmmaking background into my approach as a sitter, I aim to create memorable and enriching experiences for the children under my care.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

As a sitter, I find immense joy in engaging children in a mix of educational and recreational activities. I sincerely enjoy taking kids outdoors to explore nature, play games, and develop their motor skills through fun and interactive activities suitable for their age group. I find it fulfilling to assist with homework, providing support and guidance towards academic success. Additionally, visits to the library and museum are great opportunities to spark curiosity, broaden their knowledge, and foster a love for learning in a professional and structured manner.
