About me
I grew up in the beautiful land of Guyana. I am the third of five siblings. My favorite thing to do as a child was sports. I went to Comprehensive High School where I got my High School diploma. I migrated to the USA in the 90s. I had a love for children. Since I was a teenager, I used to help my neighbors babysit their children when I was a teenager. It was something I loved to do then and I am still doing to this day. It’s the only career I ever had. I got my NCS and nanny certificate in Manhattan in 2006 and have been working as a nanny and NCS (night nurse) in NYC.
I worked with all age groups of kids. Starting with newborns doing bottle feeding, diapering, burping, circumcision, and umbilical cord. As the child grew I started introducing solids. Take the child to activities as young as six months. I will also plan play dates, and take the child to parks and playgrounds. I also help with potty training. As they get older I would drop them off and pick them up from school and after-school activities. I do help prepare healthy snacks and meals for children.
I love to talk and sing to babies. I love the way they would respond with their agoo and their adorable smile. Every new thing they do is a precious moment for me.
