About me

I grew up in one of the beautiful islands in the Philippines as the fifth child of seven children. I have five brothers and one sister. As a child I enjoyed most swimming in the sea, that's when I learned how to swim for survival. I was very active and enjoyed most of the time outside playing with other children. In my teenage years, I enjoyed and loved karaoke singing. I graduated from Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Bukidnon, Philippines with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I earned units for the Certification in Teaching at Caraga University, Agusan del Sur, Philippines, passed the board Exam, and became a teacher. While teaching, I earned master's units in Science Education majoring in Chemistry at Mindanao University of Science and Technology, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. Being a mother of four at a young age ties into my work as a babysitter or nanny.

I worked with children for 8 years now since 2016. My first job was as a Full-Time live-out nanny taking care of a weeks-old baby boy, and ended when he was 6 months old, they moved to Canada, and the mother is Canadian. I prepared bottles and fed him according to established routines, cleaned and maintained feeding utensils, changed nappies, bathed, dressed and cared for the baby, regulated nap schedule, washed baby's laundry, completed light housekeeping and organized successfully when the baby was sleeping and kept apartment always clean. I have been a certified baby nurse and CPR since then and just renewed in 2022. My next job was a Part-Time live-out nanny, I took care of a 5-month-old baby girl who was about 10 months old when the job ended because they enrolled her in a daycare school. Fed her with a combination of bottled milk and solid foods. Brought her for a walk at the park. Maintained, cleaned, organized, and implemented effective sleep training techniques that established healthy bedtime routines resulting in improved sleep quality for the child. The agency placed me in a Live-in Weekend nanny job, took care of a four-year-old twin boy and a girl, and was 8 years old and a half when the job ended due to my responsibility to my daughter during the weekend. Prepared healthy meals and snacks, walked the dogs with the kids after breakfast, played outside, badminton, swimming, and playdates. Engaged with children on an age-appropriate level, did some science activities, and handled challenging behavioral issues. Bathed, dressed, and helped with teeth brushing as part of bedtime preparations. Washed kids' laundry and organized it successfully. During this weekend job, I also had a weekday Part-Time nanny job taking care of 18- an 18-month-old baby girl who turned 4 on the month that the job ended so that I could find a full-time job. The commute from Flushing, Queens to Connecticut for two years is not easy for me. During those times I picked her up from school, brought her to the park to play, and served dinner. The kid stayed at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays and fed her a combination of bottled milk and solid food. I prepared healthy meals and snacks. Maintained, cleaned, and organized home environment conducive to optimal child development through regular tidying duties. My recent job was Full-Time 7 am-7 pm Monday to Friday taking care of 1-year-old baby girl who was 2 years and 5 months when the job ended for the parents decided to move to India for good. Cleaned and steamed feeding utensils, prepared bottles, and fed the baby with a combination of bottled milk and solid healthy foods according to her mother's specifications. Brought her to children's museum, parks, and Library for music class and other lessons. Transported the child to and from school or activities using our personal family vehicle. Bathed, dressed, and helped with teeth brushing as part of bedtime preparation. Did housekeeping duties and organized the kids' clothes and her room. Cooked healthy, age-appropriate breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for the child.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years, I hope I am still healthy and strong to take care of children. I hope to have an online business for additional income. In 5 years, I hope to be in the family where I will be working this year.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

My laboratory knowledge that is common in our kitchen is what I love to teach and share with children like what I used to in my previous families that I worked with. I'd like also to share the skills of how to play chess, how to sing, how to swim for beginner kids, and fun activities.
