About me

Hello! My name is Lauren, I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and I have several years of childcare experience! A little bit about myself and my background; I am the middle child of five, I have been dancing since I was about four years old, and I moved to New York at the beginning of this year to ultimately pursue my dreams as an artist.
I am an honors graduate from Howard W. Blake High School where I received my Master’s Certification in Dance Arts and debuted my first choreographic work. I was heavily involved in activities within my high school and community; from participating in clubs such as National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Blake Engineering Club, and National Honor Society for Dance Arts (with leadership roles in each), to actively participating in my school’s performing arts program, and mentoring children at my local dance studio weekly. I also studied Dance for two years at the University of Florida before deciding to transfer to complete a degree in Engineering, one of my other many passions.
Within the past few years I have worked as a childcare associate for a local daycare and a nanny for two different families as well. Additionally, I managed to accrue nearly five years of work experience as a dance instructor and choreographer for a local dance studio where I learned valuable skills such as human behavior and performance, classroom management, and curriculum development. I am super loving and gentle with kids and have had great reviews from parents of children that I have previously cared for. Needless to say, I love working with children! Their excitement and curiosity inspires me on the daily, and I like to think that I inspire them as well.
