About me
I grew up in the sunshine of Jacksonville, FL, until my family relocated to the equally radiant Scottsdale, AZ, during my high school years. As the eldest of three siblings, with two younger brothers, I cherish the role of big sister as one of the most foundational experiences of my life. From a young age, I found joy in entertaining and bringing smiles to others, a passion that led me to the world of theater, where I've been a part of productions since the age of 6.
Growing up in Florida provided me with ample time on the water, I swam competitively for eight years! I was also involved with the Girl Scouts from ages 6 to 17, attending and later becoming a Junior Counselor at Girl Scout Camp during my summers.
My journey continued at the University of Arizona, where I pursued my academic interests in Classical Civilizations and Theater Arts. It was there that I honed my skills and deepened my passion for both the ancient world and the art of performance. Upon graduation, New York beckoned, and I answered the call! Starting as a nanny in Brooklyn, I immersed myself in the world of childcare, fostering meaningful connections and nurturing young people with love and dedication. Presently, as an After-School Site Supervisor at an educational nonprofit, I find immense joy in guiding and inspiring the next generation of leaders. My upbringing as the eldest sibling ignited a deep-seated passion for working with children and youth development from an early age.
Babysitting at 13 opened the door to a lifetime of enriching experiences, from serving as a camp counselor to lifeguarding, each role contributing to my growth as a compassionate and dedicated childcare professional.
Throughout my journey in childcare and youth development, spanning over a decade since the age of 13, I've had the privilege of nurturing young minds and hearts across various age groups. From the tender age of 3 to the vibrant teenage years of 15 and 16, I've tailored my approach to meet the unique needs of each child under my care.
In my diverse roles as a childcare provider, my responsibilities have been multifaceted and encompassing. As a babysitter and nanny, I've provided a nurturing environment both inside and outside the home, preparing meals, maintaining daily schedules, and engaging children in enriching activities. From leading fun-filled play sessions to assisting with homework and tutoring, I've strived to create a supportive and stimulating environment for growth and learning.
In the realm of camp counseling, I've curated memorable experiences for young campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and skill development. From planning and implementing engaging programs to maintaining site cleanliness and facilitating group activities, I've embraced the opportunity to foster camaraderie and personal growth among camp participants.
My journey has encompassed various titles, from part-time babysitter and mother's helper to lifeguard, day camp counselor, and overnight camp counselor. Currently, as an after-school site supervisor, I continue to nurture young minds in an educational nonprofit setting, guiding them towards academic success and personal growth.
My repertoire of skills extends beyond traditional childcare, encompassing lifeguarding, water safety instruction, and experience caring for children with Type-1 Diabetes. Certified in AED/CPR/First Aid through the Red Cross, I prioritize the safety and well-being of every child under my supervision, ensuring they thrive in a secure and supportive environment.

In five years I hope to be able to play the drums! I have always been a music lover but am not so "musically gifted", I would love to challenge myself to learn an instrument and be able to perform music.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love being able to spend time on the water with children in my care, it is so rewarding for me to see children become confident swimmers. I am also very passionate about taking on creative endeavors with children, such as filmmaking, playwriting & performance, and tons of arts & craft projects!
