About me
I am a Texas native who has been in the city for two years now. The youngest of three siblings- with the demeanor of the oldest- I spend most of my childhood reading books and helping to care for my younger cousins. In 2020 I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Theatre. My summers in college were spent working with Impact Arts, an organization dedicated to providing accessible arts education for theatre artists. Becoming part of the administrative team, I found a passion for supporting young people in their efforts to become well-rounded community members.
As the theatre industry closed for the pandemic, childcare became another outlet for that passion. I became a toddler teacher and learned the wonders of listening and play. During that time, I also assisted with infants and pre-schoolers as needed. Our school operated under the Reggio-Emilia child-guided approach and conscious discipline techniques that fostered empowerment and intrinsic motivation in the kids. From adhering to wake windows and supervising tummy time to teaching emotional regulation skills and creating sensory activities to mitigating the complexities of childhood friendships and perfecting pearler beads, I've done it all. Moving to New York, I knew nannying was the next step. Creating lasting relationships with children and their families was one of my favorite parts of being a preschool teacher. The depth at which you get to do that as a nanny brings me so much joy.
In my free time, I love spending time with friends, going to parks and museums, getting exercise, and being in nature.
