About me
Hi everyone! My name is Kennedi Villa. I grew up in the Bay Area and I have one older brother. I have played basketball for close to 20 years and even went to San Diego State on a full-ride basketball scholarship. I graduated early in 3.5 years with a Bachelor's in Communication, where I also took multiple classes studying Child and Family Development. Since graduation, I have continued my profession as a career nanny full-time.
I have worked long-term with 3 different families so far. My first family started as a summer job when the baby was 2 months and a 4 year old girl! My job included changing diapers, putting the baby down for naps, warming bottles, tummy time, introducing the baby to solid foods, and more. I created fun and engaging age-appropriate games and arts/crafts for the 4-year-old and me to do together. This job also transitioned into full-time before I moved away. With my second family, I was responsible for 4 children, 2 months, 3, 8, and 12! This role was so much fun, my job with the baby was almost exactly to my previous role. I would also help get the 3-year-old ready and dressed for school. I dropped and picked him up. After school, we would go on walks, go to the park, or even for donuts and ice cream dates. When the bigger kids got home from school, I made them afternoon snacks, made sure they were finishing their homework before they left to play in the neighborhood, and got them ready for any extracurricular activities. On days off from school, we would always do something fun, like go swimming, go to trampoline parks, go to the forum, etc. In my current role, I have a 3yr old and 8yr old. My role consists of dropping off and picking up from school. I prepare after noon snack and sometimes dinner. I drive them to any appointments or lessons they may have. I also do some family assisting of going grocery shopping, or any errands the mom might need me to do!
I have a passion for working with kids. Growing up I have had some of the best mentors and role models who are a big part of who I am today, and I would love to be that for the kids that I am nannying.
