About me

Hello, I am Aura Maria Rico, I was born and raised in Colombia. Since I was little I have been very active, I like to swim, travel, learn about new cultures, and read books that contribute to my personal growth, I graduated as a social communicator and journalist and have a master's in Digital Marketing.

My first job as a nanny was when I was an au pair in 2016, I lived with them and was in charge of a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. My responsibilities included taking them to school, helping them with homework, and laundry, preparing their meals, and planning outdoor and indoor activities, within my role with the authorization of the parents I like to teach them Spanish, and so far all the children I have taken care of understand and speak Spanish, I stayed with them until 2019.
I started with my next family in Jan 2021, I was in charge of a 6-month-old baby, my responsibilities were to change his diaper, give him food, help him in the transition to solids, I also do his laundry and I was by his side in his first steps, Later I started another family with a 4-year-old child and I worked with them from Nov 2021 - Nov 2022, they no longer needed a full-time nanny, the child was already going to school and I'm still working for them when they need me for date nights.

My last experience began in 2022 - 2024, I was in charge of a 4-month-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. Among my responsibilities are the process of potty training, transition to solids, learning to walk, teaching them Spanish, washing their clothes, preparing food for them, and doing outdoor and indoor activities.
Now the girl is 1 and a half years old and the boy is 3.

I like working with children because every day is different, learning to connect and validate children's emotions is important, and communication and connecting with the family is my priority, as a nanny I know that my teachings influence the child's growth.
