About me
I am a Jersey girl, born and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey. I have one twin sister who is a visual artist, and who could not be any more different from me! This sibling dynamic between us has given me a lot of insight into how vastly different each child’s needs are. Yearning for adventure, I moved across the country to attend UCLA for a B.A. in Musical Theater. I have since worked in several regional theater houses in California, moved to New York City, and am actively auditioning for various shows, taking dance class at Steps on Broadway, and learning how to live life post-grad!
I have been working with children for nine years now, ranging from seven months old to teenagers. One of my most recent experiences has been with an infant, who was 7 months old when I started. I would change diapers, bottle feed, introduce solid food, take the stroller to the park, play with him outside and indoors, and put him down for his naps. My other most recent experience was as an after-school babysitter for two boys, ages 8 and 11. Responsibilities included picking up the 8 year old from school and walking him home, preparing snacks, orchestrating fun homework times, and bringing the 11 year old to his various activities. I have been a date-night babysitter, after-school babysitter, part-time nanny, full-time nanny, as well as a camp counselor/trip leader at two different sleepaway camps (Journey’s End Farm Camp, and Farm and Wilderness). I am CPR certified, First Aid certified, WFA certified (Wilderness First Aid), and was a lifeguard for four years.
Amidst my professional performance career, I always find myself coming back to work with children. Whether they are 9 months old or sixteen, there is always an opportunity for me to learn from their perspective, as well as find new joy with them. It is always such a pleasure to share my own art with them, whether that be acting, singing, or dancing, and receive theirs with open arms. I believe all children are artists, and I want to help foster that creativity in my time with them.
