About me

I’m from sunny Southern California, the youngest kid of 3. As a kid I grew up loving dance, watching and playing sports, specifically basketball. I continued playing basketball and dancing all throughout my childhood and teenage years. After I graduated from high school I went right to work in retail, babysitting and organizing. I’m a hard worker and all of my jobs taught me a great deal about responsibility, integrity, how to be punctual and loyal.
As the youngest kid, someone was always taking care of me. When I graduated from high school I started babysitting for my older cousins who started having babies. My responsibilities were feeding them, changing them, making sure their nap times stayed consistent, and reading to them as well. Shortly after that, I started babysitting more often while still working in retail. I also was a camp counselor for the kids at my church and that was ages 6-12 years old. Then I slowly worked into the nanny role in 2008 when I worked with a family with a 2-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy. I’d work with them for a couple of months every year. I’d make their lunch, we would read, listen to music, and play indoor and outdoor activities. Before moving to New York I was a nanny for a 1 year old boy. I’d make his breakfast and lunch and we’d go to the playground, help him with his potty training keep his nap time consistent, and have dance parties every Friday. While I’ve been living in New York I worked for an agency doing nanny temping which was a lot of fun. I worked with children from infants to about 7/8 years old. With the infants it was feeding them, changing their diapers, making sure their naps stayed on track, playing with them, talking and singing to them, and reading fun books. When I took care of 5-month-old twin girls I would put on a different Disney movie soundtrack and act out the movie for them. Recently, I was a full-time nanny for a 6-month-old boy and I took him for walks to the park, to his music class, to story time, made his breakfast and lunch, washed his dishes, did his laundry, kept his play area clean and organized and helped him with crawling and eventually walking.
I love children! I love being a nanny! My ultimate goal as a nanny is to help families, help parents. Be there to teach the children, be a good example, and make the parents feel at ease while they’re at work.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love dinosaurs! One of my favorite things to teach is dinosaurs. Reading about them, learning how to say their names, and hearing what we think they might’ve sounded like is always fun! I love music, dance, and sports as well. Dance parties, learning a sport, or listening to different genres of music with a little biography about the artist or group, are things I love sharing and teaching.
