About me
Growing up in Scarsdale, New York. I grew up with two brothers, one older and one younger. As a child, I loved to sing, attending voice lessons once a week and classical music competitions once a month, which allowed me to travel throughout the country. In my downtime from singing, I was outdoors. I participated in activities such as hiking, swimming in the summer, and going to the park. After completing my studies at Scarsdale High School, I received a BS degree from Boston University. Since college, I have been working in marketing both on the creative and financial side. Through this experience, I realized that I wanted a more hands-on career, specifically working with children and young adults.
I have been working with children since 13 and received my first babysitting position in Scarsdale. During this time, I watched the two children (ages 3-5) on Friday-Saturday nights, feeding them dinner, completing arts and crafts projects, and reading bedtime stories. After this position, I worked for another family in Scarsdale as a part-time nanny during the week and weekends. The children ranged from 5-13 years old. I often set up activities for them in sports such as basketball, soccer, and track and fed them dinner. In college, I worked with a mother and her 4-month-old child twice a week for two hours, feeding the baby and walking him along the BU Campus in a stroller. In the summer of 2021, I worked as a full-time nanny for a family in Scarsdale with children ranging from 3-7. My responsibilities included: picking the children up from camp by driving, feeding them lunch & dinner, and creating activities for them between the hours of 1 pm-and 6 pm. Activities included, swim lessons, biking, and playing outdoors on their trampoline.
I believe my skills to be unique in the ways that I promote communication and provide compassion and empathy to the children I have worked with. I am also an avid collaborator with the parents on their children’s well-being. Being a trustworthy mentor to the children is important to me.
