About me

I was born and raised in the Bronx. I’m an only child. I come from a father who was a high school English teacher, and a mother who works as a paraprofessional caring for infants and toddlers in a daycare at a high school. I completed my Bachelor's Degree from Hunter College and majored in Psychology and a minor in English. I’ve done relevant coursework in Research Psychology and Child Psychology, which has helped me get to where I am now as a nanny! I’ve learned how emotionally fragile we are during childhood years and how certain things can affect us during our teen years and even linger into adulthood. It’s vital to understand infants as they’re developing and learning (and trying so hard!) to communicate with us. Care providers need to exude patience with little ones and encourage them to interact with others, expose them to structure and routine, and give them the confidence they need to succeed in said environments or peers.

For the past three years, I've worked as a nanny for a lovely family with two kids, and I've really enjoyed working with them. The baby was my primary responsibility, and we'd do all the baby things! I'd facilitate feedings and naps, play time and educational activities. We'd go to baby enrichment classes (music, art, gym) as well! I'd also take care of child laundry, closet organization, and other household tasks, and I'm looking to expand my responsibilities with household tasks even further in my next role.
