About me

I was born & raised in a humble little town in southern Vermont. I spent most of my childhood outdoors hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, and roaming the neighborhood on my bike. I am the youngest of three and am very close with both of my siblings and parents. My parents prioritized outdoor, independent play and always made sure we witnessed the world around us through nature, travel, and community. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Public Communication and have been working in marketing for the past 8 years at Hotel Vermont and Vermont Creamery. I decided to take a break from the corporate world which has been such a necessary re-set as I re-evaluate where I want to go with my career. I have always wanted to be a teacher and hoping this transition will help give me clarity on my next step.

Throughout high school and college I babysat as I have always loved and connected with kids. I find their deep curiosity and wonder of the world so inspiring. Being in their presence reminds me to look up and be in awe of the world around me – something so many of us forget to do. I have experience with infants to pre-teens, changing diapers, bottle feeding, making meals, driving to lessons and activities, prepping meals, cleaning, laundry and other house chores. I was a volunteer mentor to my "little buddy" from age 6-11 where I navigated issues related to bullying, anxiety, depression and health scares. I would attend soccer games, take her swimming, expose her to nature, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, movies, poetry etc. etc. We went through a lot of changes together and we have continued our relationship even after moving.

I am an auntie to two beautiful nieces (1.5, 3) who have helped me re-define the capacity to which I can love. Being in their lives has been the biggest gift of my life (corny, but true!) and has taught me so much about how to care for infants, babies, and toddlers.
