About me
I am currently enrolled in a master's program in writing at The New School and hope to combine my love for literature with my work with young learners after I graduate.
I have had a wide variety of child-care experiences since I began working as a camp counselor and after school instructor as a freshman in high school. At Brown University, I worked in the writing center at a local high school, tutoring students in English and writing. After I graduated from Brown, I worked as a sixth grade English teacher with the national service program Teach for America for two years. I've been a one-on-one tutor, a part-time nanny, and am currently a graduate teaching assistant in the liberal arts program at The New School. In my free time, I volunteer at 826NYC, a literacy center in Park Slope. I help run storytelling workshops for children in kindergarten-2nd grade. I am originally from Boston but have lived in Brooklyn for 2 years and I love exploring New York City.
