About me

I grew up in Pennsylvania, Texas, Maryland, and Utah. I am the oldest of four kids and I love reading, swimming, and spending time at the beach! I have my bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Utah and I'm getting my master's in Social Work at Columbia.

I've been working with kids since I was 13! I babysat my own siblings and then started babysitting for families in my neighborhood. Since then I've been a piano teacher, swimming teacher, part-time nanny, date night babysitter, special education paraeducator, and social worker. I recently spent two years working as a child protective services caseworker for the Division of Child and Family Services and I worked with over 100 families to mitigate safety concerns and keep families together. Before that I was a part-time nanny for four boys. As a nanny, I coordinated their daily schedules, helped with laundry, cooking, and homework, and took the boys on activities. I have been CPR certified, lifeguard certified, and had my food handler's permit.

My approach with children is gentle and loving. Like everyone, kids want to feel heard and validated and with my background in social work I'm able to provide that. I love reading, coloring, doing crafts, and making bracelets with kids.
