About me

Originally from West Hartford, CT, I grew up as the youngest of three very artistic and academic sisters. I moved to New York in 2017 when I began my training at Marymount Manhattan College, where I received my BFA in musical theater and directing. Some of my favorite college courses included Drama Therapy, Nutrition and Health, and Mediating Motherhood. Throughout college, I worked as a nanny. Since graduating, I have performed in a variety of musicals, taught a course at Marymount, and taught/tutored in after-school programs.

I have worked with infants, toddlers, and elementary school students. When I began nannying in college, my regular charges were 1 and 3, and I worked with them until they were 4, 7, and 9. As a regular sitter, I would pick the kids up from school, help with homework, get dinner ready, and take the kids through the evening routine. On weekends, we would go to the park and the museum, or stay home to read, work on puzzles, and do arts and crafts. In the after-school program, I create and implement lesson plans that utilize differentiated learning techniques, tutor Hebrew, and ensure that students are engaged and supported in their learning and social-emotional development. My students and charges love singing and dancing with me. I even use dance steps in my classroom to create fun and seamless transitions between activities! I have also worked as a full-time nanny for a bilingual (Hebrew and English) one-year-old and a camp counselor for 9- and 10-year-olds.

When working with children, I believe it is imperative to respect them as individuals. I get excited about their burgeoning interests—no matter how niche they are. I understand that children crave autonomy and self-determination, and I pride myself on helping them find ways to express themselves within the requirements for safety and structure. I believe that each child has so much potential, and it is my great privilege to support them as they learn how to navigate the world with kindness and curiosity.
