About me

I grew up in Lancaster, PA with plenty of cats, my older brother, and a giant backyard! I am now grateful to call myself an aunt to my brother and sister-in-law’s two boys. I graduated from Kent State in Musical Theatre and minored in American Sign Language. I began performing at 8 years old and always loved performing for kids (favorites include Alice (in Wonderland and Peter Pan!). Since graduation, I’ve been auditioning, doing local performances, and writing! As I mentioned, my favorite performances were ones where I could hear the joy of children. Even better was after a performance, when they got to meet the ‘real’ Peter Pan (or whatever hat I was wearing!) and I got to bring that magic to them. My natural progression, then, is into a job where I get to bring that joy into any child’s daily life through play!

I’ve been babysitting on occasion for over a decade but started regularly nannying a little over a year ago. I started working with a then 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. When we’re not playing volleyball or basketball, the 7-year-old and I are into Legos and Magnatiles. The 9-year-old and I will work on homework before she tries new hairstyles on me! After they’re asleep, I do dishes and a deeper clean. I have worked with a 2.5-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl. Both are very into music, so my responsibilities include piano playing on top of diaper changes and meals! On date nights, I will help them bathe, brush their teeth, and read books before tucking them in. I watched an 8-month-old boy where I was changing diapers, making bottles, and strapping him onto my chest for walks! I’ve been learning ASL for 15 years, but began a more in-depth study of the language when I went to college! I am CPR-certified for all ages.
I am a museum-goer and explorer of parks in the city when I’m not performing. My passion in life is to bring joy to others through music and art; there truly is no sound more beautiful than a child laughing. My grandmother would say: “Children are like milk - they only spoil if they’re left alone.” I have carried that sentiment into how I now spend my time with all children, from my nephews to a child I meet for the very first time!
