About me

I grew up in Jamaica, West Indies, and was raised by my great aunt. I am an only child on my mother’s side and have half-siblings on my paternal side. I enjoyed playing with my cousins and going to school. I would spend time with my grandfather who would take my cousin and me to cricket matches and buy hot chocolate. I graduated from high school and migrated to the United States in 2005 to seek a better financial future and provide for my son. Since I have come to the United States I have been able to connect with my paternal relatives and siblings.

I have worked in childcare for over fifteen years and started caring for my cousin as my first childcare experience. I have worked with children ranging in age from infants to school-age children. I have prepared bottles, and food, and washed children. I have organized and taken children to play dates, activities, classes, and school. I have maintained lifelong relationships with my former employers and they have become family to me. I am CPR certified and have a driver’s license.

I like going to movies, music, exploring new experiences, and food. I am a people person and am outgoing. I like the. Outdoors and getting to know new cultures and communities. I value children and their innocence. I have had the opportunity to travel over the last couple of years experience different cultures and expand my view of the world. I am a mother and know the value of family. Children’s safety is always foremost of importance. My husband has dedicated his life to working with children in Child Protection.
