About me

Growing up in Maine as an Indian trans-racial adoptee allowed me to experience the world differently. I learned to think outside the box, embrace creativity, be patient, and listen well to the needs of others. While I loved the Maine outdoors, I longed to explore diverse communities. Thankfully during University and several jobs after graduating, I was able to work with an array of community members: disabled, BIPOC, queer folx, and victims of interpersonal violence (youth & adults).

My childcare journey blossomed when I started caring for two girls in High School (ages: 4 & newborn.) I danced, sang, played pretend, and did crafts with the eldest. I learned how to properly care for the infant with parental guidance. It warms me to say I still visit the girls 10 years later. Furthermore, after leaving the nonprofit world in 2022, I began working full-time as a Nanny & Family Assistant. As the child grew (8-22 months) we developed a wonderful bond. In addition to the basic needs (feeding, bathing, changing, bottles, laundry, tidying up, meal prep, appointments, etc.) we attended classes, visited parks, museums, traveled to 4 states, and one trip to Hungary.

Since late 2023, I’ve had the opportunity to work with families across NY as a Babysitter, Temp-Nanny, and a Part-Time Nanny (morning, day, evening, and overnight). The children's ages range from 4 months to 9 years. I’ve been lucky enough to engage in after-school performances, playdates, appointments, classes, splash pads, and more with my beloved kiddos! That is in addition to the regular childcare duties of: school/daycare pick up, meal prep, laundry, tidying the home, additional outings, nap and bedtime routines, potting training support, developmental tracking, and practicing educational skills.

I love working with children and I value being part of a child's understanding of the world. I utilize gentle-parenting skills and uplift a child's natural sense of wonder. I believe children are brilliant and offer us immense knowledge, kindness, and compassion. I adore my job and can’t wait to help more children find beauty and pride within themselves.
