About me

My name is Morgan Hinman and I am from Upstate New York and grew up in the small town of Camden. I have three siblings, an older sister, and two younger brothers. I eventually attended Utica University and obtained a degree in Public Relations. My first ever job at age 16 was at a nursing home where my mother had also worked at the time. I am grateful to have that experience with the elderly and it was helpful when I started to work in childcare. I have been working with children since graduation and able to commit to it for a few more years.

I have years of childcare experience including daycares and nannying. I was previously an assistant preschool teacher with children ages 3-5. I would assist in kids' daily routines, sanitize toys, and supervise outside time. I have also worked at an at-home daycare with children ages 6 months to 12 years. I would change diapers, prep healthy meals, play outside, and do crafts, as well as learning activities. I have additionally worked with four individual families from Care.com as a full-time nanny! Children's ages ranged from 5 months old to 12 years old. My most recent job from Care.com was taking care of two families at once- a 10-month-old, and a 3-year-old, as well as two school-aged children (8, 10). I would supervise the school-aged children getting on the bus and taking care of the 10-month-old and 3-year-old during the day. I would change diapers, go for walks in the neighborhood, play with toys, do crafts, do basic housekeeping, and prepare simple meals. The family I was with previously, I was responsible for taking care of a 5-month-old and occasionally her sister who was 3. I would change diapers, warm up bottles, go on walks in the neighborhood, and do age-appropriate playtime.

Throughout these years as a caregiver, I have learned a lot through the children I have taken care of. When I am not nannying I love to go on walks with my puppy and prepare healthy meals. My interests help me succeed as a nanny because I believe children should lead healthy and active lifestyles to grow and flourish.
