About me

I was born and raised in the UK, though I lived in New Zealand during my teenage years (which is where my parents are from!). I moved to New Orleans when I was 17 for college at Tulane University. I was on a full-ride athletic scholarship as a swimmer, and studied Theatre and English. After retiring from swimming, I became a full-time actor, working in theatre and eventually progressing into film and tv. During my time in New Orleans I was the operations manager for a theatre company, while also working multiple jobs - including nannying! Since I was on student/work visas, babysitting and nannying were the only means of extra income I could earn during school, which is how I got started nannying.
I have been working with children for 10 years, including babysitting, nannying (full-time and part-time) as well as swim teaching/coaching and also music coaching/teaching. I have experience with all ages, although my specialty and most favorite are infants. My last two (full-time) families I was responsible for children from as young as 4 weeks old. They became what felt like my own children, and I loved and cared for them as if they were. I was responsible for almost all their needs during work hours (9-5approx). One of my favorite parts about working with children this age is seeing the rapid growth every day. Each week is completely different, and your words and actions are far more influential than you would think. I believe that these years are some of the most important for setting up their emotional and intellectual well-being. I always incorporate musical stimulation with my caregiving and believe in leading with kindness and empathy.
