About me
I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I have an older sister who I'm very close to.
I am a single parent who had to leave Manila 15 years ago. I had to look for other opportunities to provide a better future for my son. I missed being with my son. I wanted to be surrounded by children so it would somewhat ease the pain of being away from my son and that is what led me to become a nanny. By taking this path, I was able to nurture, guide, teach, and care for other children like they were my own. To teach babies and help them reach their milestones is so satisfying. I have been a nanny for 15 years and I'm thankful that I've never had any incidents or accidents during my tenure. My top priority is always the child! As early as 4 months old, I start teaching the baby and parents baby sign language. The longest and first family I worked with was 6 years (Full-time Nanny/Light Housekeeping). I started when he was 2 months old and ended when he was 6-years-old. The second family I worked with for 2 years (Full-time Nanny/Light Housekeeping). The baby was 3- months old till age 2. The third family was first-time parents(Full-time Nanny/Light Housekeeping). I started when their daughter was 3 months old. After 3 years they had another baby boy. I ended when their daughter was 4.5 years old and their son was 1 and a half. With all of the families I worked for, I go the extra mile. I always make sure to check diapers frequently to avoid rashes, I make sure the breast milk is warm and I help with transitioning to formula. I puree foods when the child starts eating solids. I manage the personal hygiene of the children and teach them how to reach milestones by reading books, singing & dancing with them. We play educational activities, and creative games, read books, and attend classes & activities. I'm also experienced doing drop off and pick up to/from school and with bringing kids to extracurricular activities. I send pictures to the parents and give them updates through text messages. I comfort children when they're sad if their parents leave for work. I compliment them if they do something good and celebrate when they reach achievements.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I always teach the child to become independent like letting them pick what clothes and shoes they want to wear and putting it on their own. Teaching them to put the dirty clothes in the hamper and shoes on the shoe rack, organize their clothes and room, fix their bed (in anyway they can), setting up the table and bringing plates to kitchen after each meal. Always clean up the toys especially their books. After using certain things, I remind them to put it back in the proper places like sunglasses, any hair accessories and other add ons. Most importantly I teach them what personal hygiene is. Sometimes I asked them to help me fold clothes where I teach them how to fold pants and let them put away their clothes in the closet. During the summer I love playing with the children at park that has sprinklers. I teach them to water the plants/ flowers in the house or garden. I love doing puzzles, boardgames, pretend playing, building a tent using blankets and read lots of books. I love taking them to the park, have picnics, playing, running and chasing each other.
